Lifelong Lake Forest resident and restauranteur Frank Visconti was in the process of starting up a new restaurant in Lake Forest when he was approached by Nat Caputo, with Caputo Cheese Market.
Caputo told Visconti that his family wanted to step back from the cheese market and put most of their efforts into their production. But they also didn’t want to close the restaurant, which has become an institution in Lake Forest.
Visconti said Caputo asked him if he wanted to buy Caputo Cheese Market.
