Over the past half century, countless restaurants have come and gone in Lake Forest. Dozens of food fads, dining concepts and dietary trends have also made a splash and then disappeared.

And then there’s The Left Bank on Bank Street.

Since 1967, three generations of Pasquesis have been dishing out all-American feel-good food at the tiny, no-frills eatery.
