Berry 6, Lake Forest 5

Lake Forest pitchers Jessi Werner and Jenny McTague combined for a dozen strikeouts on March 13 at the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III Leadoff Classic.

McTague, a junior, struck out five batters in the first three-and-two-thirds innings before giving way to Werner, a senior. Werner surrendered a home run to the first batter she faced but held the Vikings hitless the rest of the way while recording seven strikeouts.
