The Lantern grows, changes with the times

A Lantern staple, the Tiffany Burger is a 10-ounce Angus beef patty served on a brioche bun for $9.99, and can be served with sweet potato fries.
The Lantern’s classic Reuben sandwich ($9.99) comes with thinly sliced corned beef, swiss cheese, sauerkraut and Thousand Island dressing served on grilled dark rye bread.

Like any town, Lake Forest has changed over the years. As new batches of college students and new corporations — and their employees — enter the town, some of the longtime Lake Foresters move out.

And just as the town and its residents grow and change, so too must the restaurants those residents frequent if they want to stay in business.

Over the last 35-plus years, that’s exactly what The Lantern of Lake Forest has done to remain relevant.
