Torino Ramen brings flavorful Japanese cuisine to Wilmette

The Sammy ramen ($12) at Wilmette’s Torino Ramen is made with a pork and chicken broth and includes pork chashu, a soft boiled egg, bok choy, menma, green onions and blackened garlic oil.
The karaage bao bun ($3) features fried chicken thigh meat and cucumbers, and is served with a sriracha mayo.
The gyoza ($6), or dumplings, are made daily in-restaurant and served with soy sauce.
Mochi ice cream ($5) is a popular Japanese dessert, and comes in four flavors: chocolate, green tea, vanilla and strawberry.
Tantan ramen ($13.50) has a chicken and yuzu broth, chicken chashu, a soft boiled egg, bok choy, menma, green onions and lime, and is one of the restaurant’s most popular dishes.
Kinpira veggies ($4) are a mix of gobo root vegetables and carrots, sauteed and simmered in soy sauce and a bit of sugar, giving it a salty and sweet taste.
