For the New Trier summer league baseball team, the focus is about learning what it will take to play at the varsity level.

On June 24 at Duke Childs Field the Trevians successfully showed a number of those traits against a shorthanded Lake Forest team. New Trier had 13 hits and was very effective in moving runners over, taking advantage of opportunities on wild pitches and stealing bases.

The result was a 12-2 six-inning win.
