Two of the characteristics that defined the Lake Forest softball team this year were youth and improvement.

The Scouts, who finished 3-22, had a slew of freshmen and sophomores on their roster.

“Our seniors are really good leaders for us, so they really set a tone of being positive and they worked really hard,” Lake Forest coach Susie Brugioni said. “We had a terrific season, as far as working hard, getting better — and really getting along with each other.”
