Lake Bluff Brewing Company celebrates four years

Some of the best ideas come from conversations between friends drinking a few beers around a fire pit. One such brainstorming session led to the creation of the Lake Bluff Brewing Company.

Owners David Burns and Rod Speckter were part of a group of about a dozen Lake Bluff home brewers that got together every three weeks to produce a few batches.

“We were just really learning about home brewing and beer, how to make it and how to taste it,” Burns said. “We figured out what we liked and didn’t like.”
