Lake Forest resident Paul Herring is relatively new to the Chicago area, yet he's been involved with one of the city's oldest charities almost since his arrival. He moved to the area from Denver in the 1990s and took a job with Arthur Andersen. One of his colleagues at the firm was a supporter of Chicago Child Care Society, headquartered in Hyde Park, and encouraged Herring to volunteer with the charity too.
