The Lake Forest City Council unanimously approved a ban on recreational marijuana businesses at its regular meeting on Monday, Oct. 7.
The 7-0 vote approving the ban was made without discussion by the aldermen.
Peter Benson, a Lake Forest resident for 37 years, addressed the council speaking in favor of the ban.
