For three months, physics students at Lake Forest High School have had one problem they’ve been determined to solve — cardboard, and how to get it to float throughout the school’s pool for the annual Boat Regatta project. Students designed cardboard boats and put them to the test during the annual regatta on Monday, April 24.

The regatta was part of an assignment for juniors and seniors enrolled in physics classes, and has been a beloved event in the school for nearly 25 years, according to physics teacher Matt Lowry.
