After taking early leads, Lake Forest has struggled offensively this season.
While the defense has played well at times, it hasn’t held onto those leads.
What the Scouts have searched for is consistent, strong team play on both sides of the ball.
They found that, and more, Friday, Sept. 7, in their North Suburban Conference opener against visiting Mundelein.
With solid play in all phases, and never trailing, the Scouts (1-2) came away with a big 39-12 victory, their first of the season.
