Former Cubbie throws first pitch at LB baseball opener

What a difference a week makes. After being forced to postpone the Lake Bluff Youth Baseball Association opening day ceremony the previous Saturday due to subfreezing temperatures and snow, temperatures were in the 60s for the rescheduled ceremony on Saturday, April 16, at Artesian Park in Lake Bluff.

“Everybody came back out this week for the opening ceremony,” LBYBA board president Doug Cassidy said. “Fortunately the weather helped us out and we were able to do it.”
