It was déjà vu for Lake Forest rising junior Etienne Najman as he took first place overall in the Lake Forest Day 5K Fun Run/Walk for the second consecutive year at Deerpath Community Park on Aug. 5. Najman recorded a time of 16:49. Najman has competed in the event for seven years, but was not sure he was going to participate this year after competing in the USA Track and Field National Junior Olympic Track and Field Championships from July 27-Aug. 2 at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Fla.
