A man was struck and killed by a Canadian Pacific freight train at the Lake Forest West Train Depot yesterday afternoon, according to the Lake Forest Police Department.

The victim, believed to be an 87-year-old man from Lake County, was struck by a southbound Canadian Pacific freight train at 1:54 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, and was killed immediately, police said.
