Both special teams and the weather played a huge role for Lake Forest’s football team in a North Suburban Lake contest at Zion-Benton, Friday, Oct. 23.
The Scouts (6-3, 3-3) took advantage of the Zee-Bees poor punting into a gusty wind and used aggressive defense to coast 40-0 in their regular season finale.
Zion-Benton’s first punt netted one yard giving the Scouts the ball at the Zee-Bees 31. Chris Meng’s (10 carries, 68 yards) 21-yard touchdown run got Lake Forest on the board.
