The Lake Forest Symphony Guild hosted its annual Mad Hatter Luncheon on April 23 at the Onwentsia Club in Lake Forest. A wine reception was the prelude to the event, followed by the hat contest, informal modeling by the Lake Forest Shop, a silent auction and a raffle. Following lunch there was a book review by Kenilworth resident Barbara Rinella.

The book Rinella reviewed was “The Traitor’s Wife” and its author, Allison Pataki, was present. The book is the story of a charming but dangerous woman, Peggy Arnold, wife of treasonist Benedict Arnold.
