Police Reports: Berkeley man arrested for DUI after accident

Police responded to a one-car crash at 12:24 a.m. on Jan. 27 at the intersection of Route 41 and Route 60.
Daniel Martinez, 21, of Berkeley, Ill., was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, improper lane usage, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence of alcohol after police extricated him from his car after it had left the road and struck several trees.
He was processed and released on bond with a March court date.
