A group of students at Lake Forest High School are inventing a new device in their business incubator class that will detect when a car has been running in a closed garage and prevent millions of people from suffering or dying as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Sixteen-year-old Isabella Fontanini, who tragically lost her grandparents last year from carbon monoxide poisoning after they accidentally left their car (which had a keyless ignition) running in the garage, is the genius behind the novel device.
