Winnetka’s Taste on Chestnut aims to please

Taste on Chestnut owner Steve Leviton may have only opened his restaurant two months ago, but he’s no stranger to knowing what diners want.

Having worked in private country clubs, he said he brought that same mindset to this Winnetka restaurant, 507 Chestnut St.

“We’re going to treat it like it’s a membership in a club,” Leviton said. “If we read it the right way, we’re going to ... [be] seeing regulars every day.”
