Marred by the late arrival of a second bus and much like the sporadic wind and rain that assailed the courts in short bursts throughout the afternoon and into early evening, New Trier arrived to its match with Lake Forest on April 20 in waves.

Those waves eventually reached a crescendo when the Scouts (7-1) were overwhelmed by the Trevians for their first team loss of the season.
