Soccer: U13 girls select team repeat as Illinois state champions

The Lake Forest Soccer Association U13 girls select team won the Illinois girls U13 state championship again this year.

The Lake Forest Soccer Association U13 girls select team defeated Galaxy SC, 3-1, to win the Illinois Girls U13 State Championship on May 31.

This is the second consecutive state championship for the team, as they won as a U12 team last year.

During this year’s state cup tournament, LFSA went 5-0-0 (17 GF and 3 GA) including a 3-1 semifinal win over FC United.
