Lake Forest Swim Club hosts Olympic trial qualifying meet in preparation for Rio games

The Lake Forest Swim Club hosted the USA Swimming Speedo Sectional Championship at the Rec Plex Aqua Arena in Pleasant Prairie, Wis. March 10-13.

More than 700 swimmers representing 153 teams came from 13 different states to compete in the 10-lane 50-meter Aqua Arena competition pool. Swimmers ranged in age from 13 to 40 and racked up 17 U.S. Olympic Trial qualifying times over the course of the four-day event. This was a record number of swimmers punching their ticket to the June 2016 Omaha swimming trials from this sectional championship.
