A fire that broke out in a Lake Forest home in the 700 block of Green Briar Lane earlier today has been contained, according to the Lake Forest Fire Department.

The Lake Forest Fire Department was dispatched at noon today for a report of a home on fire. When firefighters arrived on the scene, they encountered smoke and flames showing from the roof in the rear of the home.
