A step up in class did not affect the Lake Forest girls cross-country team.

A year after taking second place in the Class 2A state meet, the Scouts have now qualified for the 2015 3A meet by winning the Schaumburg Sectional on Saturday, Oct. 31.

Lake Forest finished with a total of 79 team points and had two runners finish in the top 10, as Brett Chody (5th, 18:12) and Lauren Garriques (6th, 18:13) crossed the line within one second of one another.
