Thus far throughout the 2015-16 hockey season, the Lake Forest boys hockey team must feel like they’ve been playing an extended five-on-four penalty kill.

The Scouts (2-7-0) are off to a slow start to the season and were placed in the lesser of the IHSHL North Central Division’s two tiers.

But the lower-league seeding has only motivated the Scouts to turn the season around and a rush of reinforcements should bulk the ranks, with fall sport athletes being released following the end of their seasons to return to the hockey team.
