The doubles team of senior Brynn Carlson and sophomore Julianna Roman was Lake Forest’s only representative at the state match, last Thursday-Saturday, Oct. 22-24. The pair made it to the third round in the main draw and won two consolation matches before falling.

The 6-1, 1-6, (6-10) defeat to the Fremd team of Kate Bodensteiner and Julia Smiarowska in the consolation draw was a heartbreaking loss after comfortably winning the first set.
