Sports Briefs: Lake Forest JV field hockey team win it all

The Lake Forest JV field hockey team shut out all the teams they played against — Glenbard West, Loyola Academy and Antioch — on their way to the Oak Park-River Forest Invite Championship on Oct. 17. In the tournament semifinals, Lake Forest bested New Trier 1-0, with the goal coming from Maggie Mick, assisted by Madden Plante.

In the finals, the Scouts didn’t allow the Oak Park-River Forest team to score, as they won 2-0 with goals from Olivia Douglass and Mick, assisted by Sarah Considine.
